MATERIAL GRADES
Grade selection depends on corrosion environment, mechanical requirements, fabrication route and governing specification. For material selection guidance, see Titanium Fastener Grades: Grade 2 vs Grade 5.
Other titanium grades can be supplied subject to drawing, specification, quantity and application requirements.
SPECIFICATION CONTROL
Fastener requirements are defined by more than material grade. Thread system, dimensions, tolerance, head geometry, surface condition and inspection requirements should be specified with the RFQ.
Manufacturing can be reviewed against applicable ASTM, ASME, ISO, DIN or customer-specified requirements.
Metric and imperial thread requirements can be reviewed according to the specified drawing or standard.
Non-standard fasteners can be evaluated from customer drawings, dimensional requirements or samples.
Critical dimensions and tolerance requirements should be identified on the drawing or purchase specification.
MANUFACTURING
The manufacturing route is selected according to fastener geometry, titanium grade, quantity, tolerance and application requirements.
QUALITY
Material identification and traceability documentation according to order requirements.
Critical dimensions, threads and tolerances checked against drawings or purchase specifications.
Material documentation can be supplied according to agreed order requirements.
Additional inspection records can be reviewed when specified at RFQ stage.
Protective packaging suitable for international shipment and agreed delivery requirements.
APPLICATIONS
Corrosion-resistant fastening for equipment exposed to aggressive process environments.
Lightweight, corrosion-resistant fastening for marine equipment and assemblies.
High strength-to-weight fastening solutions where titanium alloys are specified.
Titanium fastening components manufactured to controlled drawings and dimensional requirements.
Fasteners for engineered equipment requiring corrosion resistance, strength or reduced weight.
Made-to-drawing fasteners for specialized machines, fixtures and industrial assemblies.

FASTENER SPECIFICATION DETAILS
Titanium fasteners can be reviewed for metric and inch thread requirements according to the drawing or applicable fastener specification. Inch-series requirements may include UNC or UNF threads depending on the component design and service requirement. The RFQ should identify thread size, pitch or threads per inch, thread class, overall length and any dimensional tolerances that are important to assembly.
Inspection requirements should be defined before production where they exceed standard commercial checks. Depending on the order, requirements may include dimensional inspection, material verification, mechanical test data, thread inspection, surface examination, traceability and material certification. Additional third-party inspection or customer-specific documentation should be stated clearly in the RFQ.
Titanium bolts, nuts, screws and studs may be considered for corrosive process equipment, offshore and marine systems, chemical plants and selected oil and gas applications where corrosion resistance or weight reduction is important. Final material grade, fastener design and specification should be selected according to the operating environment, loading, temperature and applicable engineering requirements.
For custom titanium fasteners, send the drawing together with the required grade, standard, thread, dimensions, quantity, inspection requirements and certification details.
PROCUREMENT & QUALITY
Titanium fasteners are commonly purchased against a defined drawing, dimensional standard or project specification. For quotation, identify the fastener type, titanium grade, thread specification, dimensions, quantity, applicable standard and any inspection or certification requirements.
Mill Test Reports (MTR) and material certificates can be supplied when required by the purchase specification. Traceability requirements should be stated on the RFQ, especially where chemical composition, mechanical properties, heat or lot identification and inspection documentation must accompany the shipment.
Titanium bolts, titanium nuts, titanium screws and titanium studs can be reviewed against applicable DIN, ISO, ASTM or customer drawing requirements. Specify metric or inch threads, thread pitch, tolerance, head style, length and any special dimensional or inspection requirements.
Custom titanium fasteners can be manufactured from drawings or detailed specifications. CNC machining and secondary processing can be evaluated for non-standard dimensions, special heads, shoulders, drilled features and application-specific components.
Lead time depends on titanium grade, fastener geometry, quantity, material availability, machining requirements and inspection scope. Standard and custom requirements should be submitted with the RFQ so production feasibility and delivery can be reviewed before quotation.
